What is available to help with the cost of on-the-job and external training?"

 

The Get Youth Working! Program offers eligible employers in BC a negotiated Wage Subsidy as an incentive to hire eligible youth age 16 to 29. 

The application is easy! 

You conduct your own recruiting. At any time during the recruiting process you can complete and submit an online application, which can be completed in less than 5 minutes.  The approval process is quick and easy. If you and your proposed new hire meet the program criteria, you are eligible for the funding.

Post your employment opportunity on our FREE Job Board! 

Complete an application to gain access and post your position to our Job Board. 

No complicated paperwork! 

Upon completion of the three month work experience, the negotiated Wage Subsidy is disbursed to you.

Complete the EMPLOYER APPLICATION to see if your business and job posting are eligible! 

Is my business eligible? 

  • Youth must be aged 16 to 29

  • In operation for at least one year

  • In good standing with WorkSafeBC

  • Must employ youth for a minimum of 3 months with preference given to long-term positions over 6 months (non-seasonal employment)

  • Employers will NOT qualify if employee is hired prior to signing Get Youth Working Funding Agreement between Employer and Bowman Employment Services Inc.
