Have a question?

How can youth let employers know?

YOUTH SELF MARKETING LETTER

Any youth who is looking for full-time employment can complete our online Youth Eligibility Checklist.

If they answer YES to all 5 questions they will receive a ‘Youth Self Marketing Letter’. This letter informs employers that the youth may be eligible for the Program and how to apply for the negotiated Wage Subsidy hiring incentive to hire that youth. The letter can be attached to a resume when applying for positions.

LET THEM KNOW!

My time with Nelson Kootenay Lake Tourism provided me with valuable skills which I will be able to apply in my professional career. Not only did I learn about the Kootenay region and the role of tourism to the area, I learned valuable marketing and PR skills which look great on my CV. I also had the opportunity to work with some fantastic people and meet new faces in the area. The Get Youth Working Program gets two thumbs up from me
