The Get Youth Working! Program offers eligible employers in specified regions a $2,800 Wage Subsidy as an incentive to hire eligible youth age 15 to 29. 

 

The application is easy! 

You conduct your own recruiting. At any time during the recruiting process you can complete and submit an online application, which can be completed in less than 5 minutes.  The approval process is quick and easy. If you and your proposed new hire meet the program criteria, you are eligible for the funding.

Upon completion of the three month work experience, the $2,800 Wage Subsidy is disbursed to you.

Is my business eligible? 

  • Youth must be a new hire

  • In operation for at least one year

  • In good standing with WorkSafeBC

  • Must employ youth for a minimum of 3 months

  • Must employ youth for a minimum of 30 hours per week

  • Employers will NOT qualify if employee is hired prior to signing Get Youth Working Funding Agreement
