Budding Children's Garden & Daycare is an innovative, licensed childcare that provides families with the ability to schedule play-based educational care for toddlers and preschoolers whenever they need it. Their web-based booking system is the first in Canada that provides flexibilities for families who don't need full-time care.
Through the Get Youth Working! Program, they were able to hire Jayme, a new toddler teacher, to handle all the new families registering during September. She is working with the daycare manager and, while she has many skills, she is being trained while on the job, learning new skills and implementing them in her work. Through the Program’s Supplementary Training Fund, Jayme was able to take the childcare-specific first aid training required to work in the centre.
